Parents and Students:

Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year!  I hope you have all had a wonderful summer and are ready for a new year.

Students, you are the reason why we are all here.  I want to see each of you grow and develop to your full potential.  I ask that you come to school each day ready to demonstrate the qualities of our school pledge- to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn.  If you will work each day to do these three things, we will all have a wonderful year.

Parents, you are a vital part of the educational program here at Heard Elementary School.  Your support is extremely important to the success of your child.  Please talk to your child each day about what he/she is learning and doing at school. Stay in touch with your child’s teacher throughout the year.  It is vital that school and home work cooperatively together in order for your child to have the best possible school experience. We depend on your support as we work with your children. Please feel free to contact the school anytime, especially if you have concerns.

I look forward to working with the staff, students, and parents to make this another great year at Heard Elementary.

Sincerely,

Debbie Willard
Principal
